On December 22, 2007 Physician for Social
Responsibility Nepal, organized an introduction as well as
entertaining program with physically disable people, especially
those who are partially and fully disable on vision at Tribhuwan
Park, Thankot which is 30 km. from Kathmandu. The number of
participants was 60 people among which about 45 were disabled.
Fifty percent of disabled were children. All those participants
were there as a representative of different organizations
working for welfare of disable.
The disabled participants were able to drag the attention of
visitors of the park through their modern and old Nepali and
Hindi songs. The musical instruments like ‘Harmoneum’ and
‘Tabela’ had added the flavor to their presentation.
The participants complained about the lack of attention of
government towards them. They also complained about their
deprived condition from the rights and facilities which they
should have been provided by government.
The highlights of the event were telecasted through the National
T.V (Nepal T.V.-2).
