Free Health Camp In Syangja
Physician for Social Responsibility, Nepal conducted a free health camp on December 29, 2007 at Kaligandaki Syangja about 240km far from the capital where Nepal’s largest Hydroelectric Project “Kaligandaki Hydroelectric Project A” is established.

About 500 people of the surrounding (among them 60% were female) as well as distant place were advantaged from this health camp. Health check-up facilities and medicines were provided free of cost to the patients.

On the inaugural session of the camp, the Treasurer of PSR, Nepal Dr. Arun Dixit discussed about the activities conducted by this organization. He also informed about the 18th World Congress going to be held on 9-11 March, 2008 at New Delhi, India by the joint effort of International Physicians for Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW) and Indian Doctors for Peace and Development (IDPD). He forced on the role of South-Asian people to discourage the competition of missile, happening on the region, in order to restore the peace and development. “About 50 Nepali Doctors including medical students will be participating on World Congress”-he further added.

Senior Doctors- Dr. Arun Dixit, Dr. Gopal Khanal, Dr. Premal Kumar Joshi, Dr. Ramesh Prasad Kafle, Dr. Chabilal Thapa, Dr. Ram Prasad Sapkota had participated the health check-up to the people who had visited the health camp.
